Blue Guide to Greece

In my mind this is the best for in-depth information and historical accuracy. Few images.

Fodor's Greece

Good all round guide with better than usual restaurant and hotel recommendations.

Eyewitness Travel Guide - Greek Islands

Lush, with superb photographs. Provides general tourist information.

Eyewitness Travel Guide - Athens and Mainland

Stunning photography in this guide and, like it's sister publication provides general tourist information.

Michelin Greece

In the usual Michelin format, has a wealth of information about Greece although sometimes not an 'easy' read.

Lonely Planet Guide to Greece

An old favorite with contributions from Paul Hellander, a well respected Grecophile.

Independent Traveler's Greek Island Hopping 2006 This is the latest edition from Thomas Cook and includes ferry timetables. Highly rated.

A great way to learn conversational Greek.
